The 1st annual Homecoming “Knights Spirit” Competition!!

THIS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2010

Esther Jackson has been invited to Participate in 1st annual Homecoming "Knights Spirit" Competition!! This will be held during the Centennial Homecoming Parade.

Two trophies will be awarded during the football game:

1 to the elementary school with the 'Most Knights Spirit'
1 to the middle school with the 'Most Knights Spirit'

The award will be given to the most creative and spirited spectators! We want a huge crowd of EJE Jaguars to show our SPIRIT! We have blue pompoms, blue mini foam fingers and blue noise makers to hand out. We should have something for everyone, but show up early to get your pick!

Here are the instructions:

  • Wear your EJE Spirit Wear (Tie-Dye if you have it) If you do not have spirit wear, wear a blue, black or white shirt.
  • Bring any "Centennial Knight" gear you have (pompoms, banners, posters, etc.)
  • Park in Kohls' parking lot across from the school between 4:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Scott Road will be closed at 5:00 p.m.)
  • Find EJE's reserved location that will be marked with a sign and balloons between the intersection of Eves and Scott Road (across the street from the stadium) along the sidewalks & grass/trees that back up to Kohls' and Kroger's shopping centers and up to the traffic light at the school's main entrance.
  • The parade begins at 5:30 p.m.
  • The route is along Scott Road - we will have an area marked and reserved along the route for Esther Jackson.

The parade route will start at Hillside ES and go up to the school entrance and then will loop back to the stadium. After the parade there will be food and festivities before the football game in the stadium area (dunking game, cotton candy, snow-cones, face painting, caricature artist). The carnival will be inside the stadium area and you will have to purchase a ticket. The pre-game events begin in the stadium at 7:00 and the football game kick-off is at 7:30.

Tickets:    $7 for adults/students
