School redistricting is underway in North Fulton County Schools in preparation for the new high school that will open on Bethany Bend in Milton in 2012. Two meetings have taken place. At this point in the process three maps have been proposed for people to react to.
It is imperative that your opinion be heard.
Even though your child might not be directly affected, their school environment potentially will. The school environment then impacts the overall rating of a school and ultimately our real estate value.
The maps show changes to both middle school and high school districts. However, this does not necessarily mean that elementary schools will not be affected.
Other clusters are being very organized and vocal. Please help the Centennial Cluster be heard by posting your thoughts and concerns via email at planning@fultonschools.org

Just remember to view the criteria before making comments. Your comments should be specifically related to the criteria that the school board has outlined. The three most appropriate are Geographic Proximity, Traffic Patterns and School Feeder Patterns.
Tell them the things you like as well as your dislikes about these current maps.
