Volunteer

Are you looking for ways to help EJE?

Here are some needs we would love to have your help with.
AM Tutoring Program - Coordinated by Julie Paz.  She will match you with a student to help all year in the morning before school. (Great for the earlier riser that would like to do something before they head to work. You will be done by 7:40.)

COPYING - We are helping ALL teachers with their weekly copying.  We would love to have your help so our teachers do not have to spend their planning time in front of the copier. (Any grade should be about 45mins per week.  Even if you can only help out one time that is a HUGE HELP.)

The Media Center - could use your help with shelving book and checking out books.  Plus the first week of the month we need 2 person teams to work on handing out the PRIZES for the minutes that have been read. Plan on helping for 45-60 minutes when you sign up for one of these shifts.

Every little bit helps.  But by many of us doing just one shift, we can accomplish great things!

We have some of the most caring parents. So let's show our school we care with just a little of our time.
Your child's achievement and success in school increases with your involvement!

We have many ways for you to get involved and help EJ PTA. Please contact the PTA by emailing ejpta@yahoo.com if you would like to volunteer for any of the following activities. Volunteer requests are also sent to PTA members before each event.

Hispanic Liaisons
the Hispanic Liaisons fall under the Vice President of School Relations/Enrichment.  We like to have a male and a female liaison each year.  These individuals who will be reaching out to our Hispanic families to encourage participation in after-school activities and volunteering for events that benefit our students and school community. Our Community Liaison, Ms. Julie Paz, will be assisting in this outreach.
Some of the volunteer opportunities may include the following:
  • Volunteering at Multi-Cultural Night
  • Translation of flyers from English to Spanish
